How to create memorable experiences (through the lens of a Taurus)

In the spirit of Taurus season, I wanted to celebrate what comes naturally to us cozy bulls; an appreciation for all things beauty and ambiance.
As a Taurus myself, I've always had this natural sense for curating a beautiful space. And what better way to honor the season than sharing how my astrological gifts work? Whether you're planning a women's retreat, launching a podcast, or developing a workshop series, creating the right environment is essential. And I'm excited to show you how.
What makes an experience memorable?
Experiences are memorable when everything feels aligned: when guests feel comfortable, when conversation flows effortlessly, and when folks connect deeply with each other. It's what transforms ordinary gatherings into rich, unforgettable ones. And it all starts with a feeling. I've distilled my approach into a two-step framework to help guide you.
1. Hone in on the feeling you want to create
Before planning any details, start by getting clear on the emotional experience you want to deliver. This will make sure everything else aligns with your vision.
Ask yourself these key questions:
What three words will help embody the experience or space? Choose three meaningful descriptors that capture the essence of the atmosphere you're creating. Words like "intimate," "transformative," or "energizing" can serve as touchstones throughout your planning process.
What do you want folks to walk away with? Define any emotional, physical, or practical takeaways you want participants to experience. For example, with a women's leadership workshop, do you want them leaving feeling empowered, equipped with new skills, or having formed meaningful connections?
What are your non-negotiables? Identify elements that must be present for the experience to feel authentic and complete. This might include things like "uninterrupted time for reflection" or "facilitated connection between participants."
Action you can take: Create a vision board for your experience by considering how each sense contributes to the moment. Think about what each participant should see, hear, smell, taste, and feel emotionally and physically.
2. Understand your participants
Once you've figured out the feeling you want to create, start thinking about who will experience your event (product, or service) and why they're there.
Ask yourself these key questions:
Who do you see? This will help you figure out who to invite and select the right guests. For example, if you're planning a creative retreat, are you envisioning established professionals or beginners?
Why are they there? This will help you address any challenges or questions they have before they even arise. Do they want connection, knowledge, transformation, or something else entirely?
What would help them? This will help you bridge the gap from where they are and where they need to go. Consider creating a simple journey map from their current state to their desired outcome.
Action you can take: Create a one-page vision profile that you can reference throughout your planning process. This keeps your clients’ needs at the center of each decision you make.
